5th April 2007Night is Day, Scotland's first ever web series, will be shown on Sky Channel Propeller TV (195) this Saturday at 10pm. Episode 1 introduces you to Jason Mackenzie has he saves a young student journalist, Amy, from being killed by an attacker. Wounded, Jason is taken back to Amy's flat and she carefully patches him up without touching his skin, otherwise Jason's body will generate electricity which will shock Amy, and Jason will receive another vision. While Amy patches up Jason, he recounts to her how he became a superhero and why he chooses to protect the innocent. Episode 1 is 11 minutes long and like the rest of the series was shot with no money whatsoever. Well, we paid for the food and tapes. Episodes 1 to 3 are currently online to watch at http://www.nightisday.com. We're currently filming the last episode of the series with 2 filming days left. So far over 14,000 people have visited our website and Martin Compston from "Sweet Sixteen", "Red Road" and "A Guide to Recognising your saints" has a cameo in episode 6. Please spread the word about our series as the more people who know about it, the better. Thank you :) Fraser

You can also download Shian's audition video at http://www.sillyweefilms.co.uk/amy-audition.wmv - Windows Media Player is required. We've now got a professional photographer, Joe Gibson, who will be taking our promotional photos for the website and for press purposes. David already did a small test which you can see at http://www.sillyweefilms.co.uk/electricitytest1.mpg On Wednesday Neil (producer) and myself are going to a freelance event where people from Channel 4 and other independent production companies will be present, and we will tell them about the series to see if they can help us with funding. 17th July 2006Hello This is the first post to this community :) "Night is Day: The Web Series" is a small 6 part internet series that will be shot in and around Glasgow from the end of August. It's a low budget project by Fraser Coull (that's me) who is a filmmaker in Glasgow. With three short films and quite a bit of experience behind me, I've decided that my next project will be to develope and produce a series of 6x15 minute episodes based on some of the characters from my first short film "Night is Day: Dusk". "Night is Day: Dusk" introduced you to the world of Jason Mackenzie, but you didn't find how who he was or how he did what he did or why. Over the 6 episodes of the series I plan to let you know a little bit more about him. Don't get me wrong, he is the GOOD guy, but he has some darker personality traits that are going to cause trouble. You can find out more about the series at http://www.nightisday.moonfruit.com. If you want to know more about the short film go to http://www.nightisday.co.uk and you can buy the DVD for £5 over at http://www.sillyweefilms.co.uk I hope you'll join the community and talk sensible talk. No spam, flaming, abuse or silliness please. It will not be tolerated here. This is a safe haven for geeks and sci-fi/fantasy nuts to talk about the series. Thank you - Fraser Current Mood:
